My step-grandmother was Dutch, and when I was a child she would visit and
make a wonderful grape cake. She's now been gone a long, long time, and I
would very much enjoy having a recipe for this pleasant memory from my
childhood. My recollection is it was heavy and moist and she used Grapette
soda in the recipe.

Anyone have a favorite recipe for beans (pinto, black, pinquito,
whatever) that will feed 100 people as a side dish to tri-tip?

Prefer to use raw beans, not canned beans, but would love to
see a few recipes either way. Meat or non-meat also ok.
