I am toying around with agave nectar (AKA agave syrup), and although I
understand how one has to alter the recipe somewhat (less agave than
sugar;
less liquid, period), I was hoping that someone out there has some recipes
which specifically were tested with and use agave nectar. Recipes can be
any kind - sweets, savories, any cuisine, etc. Thanks!

Subject: Not too Sweet Fruit Punch

What, Exactly, Is Fruit Punch?
Recently it occurred to me that I had absolutely no idea what fruit
punch was. I know that it, at a minimum, is a combination of fruit
juices, but I know little else about it. So, I started looking for
recipes. Many of them included, among their ingredients, 1 can of
fruit punch concentrate. Well, gee thanks. That explains a lot.
Almost all of the recipes included ginger ale, which seems like
something nice to add to the punch bowl but isn't an ingredient in any
fruit punch I've bought. I presume that the ginger ale is a non-
alcoholic substitute for some sort of sparkling spirit (such as
champagne) that was originally a necessary part of fruit punch when it
was an alcoholic beverage rather than a kid's drink.

The reason I'm asking is that I like fruit punch but usually find it
to be too sweet. I was thinking it might be fun to find an original
recipe and then adjust it to my preferred level of sweetness. My best
guess is that fruit punch (at least the kind that the commercial
varieties are based on) is some combination of several fruit juices
and perhaps some sugar syrup. Maybe there's some cinnamon or nutmeg
in it? Is this right? What, exactly, makes it "punch" as opposed to
just "fruit juice?"

Thanks to anyone who knows.

I'd like the seasonings used for the port chops at the OutBack restaurant.
Thank you,
