Default Baked French Donuts

Baked French Donuts

5 tablespoons margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cups flour
2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup milk

Topping:
6 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Cream margarine and sugar thoroughly. Add egg. Mix well. Add
sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Fill buttered
muffin tins half full. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes. Remove
from tins. Roll in butter, then in cinnamon and sugar mixture.
