Default Cellophane Noodles and Ground Pork

Request: cellophane noodles
From: trudy >

This recipe is known to the Chinese as "Ants climbing up a tree."

Cellophane Noodles And Ground Pork

8 oz. ground lean pork
2 2-oz. packages cellophane noodles
2 tsp. chopped green onion
1 tsp. chopped ginger root
1/2 Tbsp. hot bean paste (more if desired)
1/4 tsp. MSG
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. cornstarch
2 cups (1 can) chicken broth

Soak bean threads in cold water until soft (about 10 min), drain, and cut
into shorter lengths. Heat pan and 3-4 Tbsp. oil and stir fry pork 2
minutes. Add onion, ginger and hot bean paste and stir fry until fragrant.
Add all remaining ingredients and simmer over low heat until most of the
liquid has been absorbed.
