Default Pickles

Here's a recipe for the half-sour pickes that is excellent:
----- Meal-Master Recipe

Title: Pickles-
Categories: Condiments and Marinades

3 qt Water
1/2 cup Vinegar
Pickling cukes (Kirby's)
3/4 cup Kosher Salt
3 clove Garlic
bunch of Fresh Dill (perhaps 8-10 whole sprigs)

Boil water, vinegar and salt. Place pickling cukes with dill and
garlic in a crock. Pour liquid over cukes. Weigh down. Cover with
cheesecloth.
Let sit at least over night outside refrigerator and then
refrigerate for about 3-4 days before eating.
