My relatives that lived in the country used to make "Fried Bread"
It was made with flour and about two other ingredients
It looked like pancake mix, and they fried it in an iron skillet on a
wood stove, and it looked somewhat like a pancake, but it puffed up,
was brown on the outside and like soft bread in the inside.
we kid's liked to eat it with butter and white Kayro syrup, The adults
ate it like bread with butter and such

I have asked all over the internet, and no one seems to heard of this.
It must have had some baking soda or such to make it poof up
All my relatives are dead now, have no one to ask
Please e--mail me if you know the recipe

I've just discovered a plot of horseradish planted years ago (about 50
years ago) by my wife's grandfather at our farm in Maine. Any
suggestions for using the root would be appreciated, especially shrimp
cocktail sauce and sauce for roast beef.

Thanks!

Subject: Seafoam Salad

Years ago my aunt used to make what she called Seafoam Salad. I was the only
molded Jello Salad I have ever liked. It had lime jello and probably cream
cheese. I would apprecaite a recipe for anything like this.

I was recently served a delicious breakfast casserole. I had never heard of it
before and want to get as recipe. It contained bread, sausage, eggs and cheese.
She said she made it the night before and baked it in the morning after keeping
the casserole in the refrigerator overnight. Thanks
