Subject: Collin Street Fruitcake clone

My husband loves the Original Fruitcake from Collin Street Bakery in
Texas. I'd like to try making one like it myself, since we now order
and are given more of them every year, and they're getting to be an
expensive addiction. It is a light fruitcake, probably with no
spices, with pineapple, papaya, cherries, golden raisins, honey, and
lots of pecans, according to their web site. I have dozens of
fruitcake recipes, but nothing quite like these.

TIA,
Joyce

I'm trying to track down a recipe for brownies which was shown on the food
network. A few years ago.

Here are some things I remember
1. the cook was a guy.
2. On air around the time, or prior to, "Two Fat Ladies."
3. Didn't have a kitchen so much as a 'cooking station.'
4. Did a version of choc. chip cookies and brownies using Valrhona
choc., during which he made a point of allowing the choc. to 'cook'
for a few minutes after it had melted.
5. Had a daughter (she showed up on the show at least once, to eat
that made in #4).

I'd like his recipe for the brownies.
Thank you!

I would like an easy Scalloped potatoes with ham recipe. In the past I
have tried to make it using the sliced potatoes, cheese, ham, and
milk. However, it always turns out too "liquidy (You know what I
mean!).

Thanks in advance for your help.

Subject: A & W hamburger seasoning?

A&W uses a seasoning when making mama and papa burgers. It is a redish
(cayenne/paprika) colored mixture and quite salty. Would anyone know the
recipe of this seasoning mixture? tia

Hi all,

Just wondering if you can help me.
I am after a really good pepper sauce recipe for steak.

The sauce I am after is like a gravy based one with whole peppercorns
in it. Cream optional.I have been searching the net for a recipe but
to no avail as all of them seem to be chilli based.

Much appreciated....
