Italian Salad Dressing Seasoning
Italian Salad Dressing Mix Mix, Italian Dressing, Bulk Italian Salad Dressing Seasoning 16 servings Have this herby mix on hand to whip up a quick homemade salad dressing, or package in an attractive container as a thoughtful gift for that dieter, vegetarian or Italian food fan (or anyone who likes a nice, homemade touch). 1 tablespoon garlic salt 1 tablespoon onion powder 1 tablespoon white sugar 2 tablespoons dried oregano 1 tablespoon dried parsley 1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil 1 teaspoon black pepper 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme 1/4 teaspoon celery seeds 2 tablespoons salt (or to taste) Mix together ingredients and store in a tightly sealed container. To prepare dressing, whisk together 4 Tbsp. red or white wine vinegar, 2/3 cup olive oil, 2 Tbsp. water, and 2 Tbsp. of the dry mix. Shake vigorously. Makes one cup dressing. Poster's Notes: 1. I made a lot of these, layering the spices in different colors for a spice sculpture, and gave as gifts last December. As I looked at the recipes again, saw the call for making salt-free Pesach recipes, I put 2+2 together and decided to share these with the list. 2. Any ingredient (like mustard) that does not fit in someone's Pesach kitchen can easily be omitted. 3. Variations: add a tablespoon ketchup, any additional herbs of interest, etc. 4.
