Subject: RECIPE REQUEST: Chocolate sauce
A friend once gave me some wonderful chocolate sauce for pouring
on ice cream. The key was that it was liquid at fridge
temperatures, so it wasn't sludge that had to be microwaved and
then turned back into sludge as soon as it hit the ice cream.
Think Hershey's Syrup but 100x better: dark, bitter chocolate,
not sugary and syrupy. This particular sauce also had some
raspberry in it, which was exquisite, but not required.
It probably needs a base of cocoa and oil, but I haven't been
able to duplicate it. Anybody got some suggestions?
Thanks!
Gary
