1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
pinch salt
chopped nuts are optional

Dense and fudgy, not high risers but definitely for fudgy brownie lovers.
In a large microwave safe bowl, on defrost setting, melt butter with
chocolate chips about 4 minutes or until chocolate and butter are melted,
stirring or whisking well. Let cool several minutes. Mixture will be
melted but not hot. Add eggs, vanilla, sugar, flour and salt and with
mixer beat all until smooth. Place mixture into a greased 8 or 9 inch
square pan. Bake 325F about 25 to 30 minutes or until set. Cool on rack.
Then chill very well and cut into desired pieces. Refrigerate unused
portions.Optional: some chopped nuts may be added to batter or sprinkled
on top prior to baking.
