![]() Vietnamese Sweet and Sour Fish submitted by butterflydog from NY, US 12 oz of mahi mahi, cod or flounder or 2 , 1/2 inch thick fillets 1 cup diced onion 1/2 cup thinly sliced white radish 1/2 large tomatoes cut up into 6 wedges Sauce: 1 Tbsp Asian fish sauce 2 Tbsp sugar 1 Tbsp white vinegar 2 tsp cornstarch 2 tsp sesame oil Rinse fish and pat dry. Place onion, radish and tomato on cutting board. Mix fish sauce, vinegar, sugar and cornstarch in 1/2 cup cold water. Heat oil in wok or skillet on medium high. Cook fish about 3 minutes for a 1/2 inch thick fillet and turn and cook 2 more minutes.. Remove to 2 serving plates. Turn up heat and saute onion and radish a few minutes and stir in the sauce with tomatoes on high heat and cook about 2 minutes until sauce is thick and shiny. Spoon vegetable and sauce over fish. Serve at once.
