Lemon Nut White Chip Cookies

1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or regular margarine, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 Tbsp lemon juice
2 cups (12 oz pkg) Premier White Chips
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts
1 tsp grated lemon peel

Preheat oven to 375 F. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small
mixing bowl. Set aside. Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in
a large mixing bowl until creamy. Beat in the egg and the lemon juice;
gradually beat in the flour mixture. Stir in the morsels, nuts, and the
lemon peel. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake 7 to 10 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned. Cool on the
baking sheets for 3 minutes, then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
Yield: about 3 dozen cookies
