Pineapple Caramel Sundae
1 can (20 ounces) pineapple slices in unsweetened juice, drained. 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar 1 quart (4 cups) vanilla frozen yogurt or ice cream. 1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping 1 cup coarsely chopped toasted almonds, if desired. On ungreased cookie sheet, place pineapple slices. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of the brown sugar evenly over pineapple. Broil 3 inches from heat about 4 minutes or until lightly browned. Turn pineapple over; sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar. Broil an additional 4 minutes. Cool. To serve, place pineapple on dessert plates or bowls. Top each with scoop of frozen yogurt or ice cream. Drizzle each with caramel topping; sprinkle with almonds. Recipe Submitted By June -- Rec.food.recipes is moderated by Patricia Hill at .
