Default Kolache

This recipe has been in my family for years.

Kolache

3 cups flour
1/2 lb. Cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 packet of yeast
3 egg yolks
1/2 lb. butter
pinch of salt
1 teaspoon Vanilla

Mix ingredients together first mixing moist, then adding the dry. Blend
well. Keep in refrigerator over night. Roll on board spread with powdered
sugar. Cut in squares, fill. Bake about 15 minutes or until light brown in
350 over. (Bake 1 hour for large cakes.)

Nut Filling

1 lbs. Walnuts a finely ground
1 teaspoon Melted butter
sugar and milk to taste

Mix well and fill.


Cheese Filling

1 lbs.block farmers cheese
3 oz. Cream cheese
pinch of salt
sugar to taste
1 yolk
1 teaspoon Vanilla
white raisins are optional

Mix well and fill
