Apricot Glazed Pears
Crockpot Baked Stuffed Apples Fabulous Peach Dump Dessert Apple Butter Apple Brown Betty Apple Cranberry Crisp Baked Apples Crockpot Banana Bread Crockpot Bread Pudding Curried Fruit Bake Home-Style Bread Pudding Pumpkin Job Hope you like these! Apricot Glazed Pears 6 lg Ripe, firm fresh pears 1 cup Apple juice 1 tsp Vanilla 1 Tbsp Butter or reduced-fat marg. 1 Cinnamon stick 1 12 oz. jar apricot preserves Peel pears, leaving them whole with stem intact. Place in slow cooker. Add apple juice, vanilla, butter and cinnamon stick. Cook on high for 3-4 hours. Remove pears with slotted spoon. Place in individual dessert dishes. Heat apricot preserves in small saucepan until melted. Top each pear with preserves sauce. Serves 6. Crockpot Baked Stuffed Apples (makes 6 servings) 6 medium tart red apples 1 cup light brown sugar 1/4 cup golden seedless raisins 1 Tbsp grated orange peel 1/4 cup soft butter 2 cups very hot water 3 Tbsp orange juice concentrate Wash, core and stem the apples, but don't peel them. Stand them in a buttered mold and stuff them with 2/3 cup of the brown sugar, the raisins and the orange peel. fill the tops of the core cavities with butter and sprinkle the remaining sugar over the tops. Place the mold in the slow cooker and pour the hot water into the cooker. Sprinkle the orange juice concentrate over the apples. Cover the cooker and cook on Low for 3 to 5 hours, or until the apples are tender. Fabulous Peach Dump Dessert 1 bag frozen peaches (2 cups sliced peaches) 1 tablespoon cornstarch 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1 Jiffy white cake mix (or 1/2 package of a 2-layer size cake mix) 4 tablespoons melted butter Lightly grease the crockpot; place peaches in the bottom. Sprinkle with cornstarch; toss. Drizzle with vanilla and sprinkle brown sugar over all. Sprinkle with cinnamon then cake mix. Drizzle melted butter evenly over cake mix. Cover and cook on high for 3 to 3 1/2 hours. Apple Butter This can be made in a crockpot or oven at 325 degrees for 3-4 hours. 4 qts. unsweetened applesauce 7 cup granulated sugar 1-1/3 cup brown sugar 5-1/3 T. cider vinegar 5-1/3 T. lemon juice 2 teaspoon. cinnamon 2 teaspoon. allspice 1 teaspoon. ground cloves Combine all ingredients in a crockpot or roasting pan. Cover and cook 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove lid and continue cooking until excess liquid cooks away (turn to low as necessary) Crockpot 5-8 hours, oven 3-5 hours Seal mixture in hot jars and process in a hot water bath for 10 minutes. Makes approximately 8-10 pints. Apple Brown Betty 3 lbs. cooking apples 10 slices of bread, cubed (about 4 cups) 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/8 tsp. salt 3/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted Wash apples, peel, core, cut into eighths; place in bottom on crock. Combine bread cubes, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, sugar, butter; toss together. Place on top of apples in crock. Cover. Place crock into outer shell. Cook on low setting 2 to 4 hours. Makes 6 to 8 servings. Apple Cranberry Crisp 3 apples (Any kind - I personally like Gala) 1 cup cranberries 3/4 cup brown sugar 1/3 cup rolled oats (quick cooking) 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/3 cup butter, softened Peel, core and slice apples. Place apple slices and cranberries in crockpot. Mix remaining ingredients in separate bowl and sprinkle over top of apple and cranberries. Place 4 or 5 paper towels over the top of the crockpot, place an object (I use a wooden spoon) across the top of the crockpot and set lid on top to allow the steam to escape. Turn crockpot on high and cook for about 2 hours. Serves 4. Baked Apples 6-8 medium baking apples, washed and cored 2 T. raisins 1/4 cup sugar 1 t. cinnamon 2 T. butter Mix raisins and sugar; fill center of apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon and dot with butter. Place in crockpot, add 1/2 cup water. Cover and cook on Low overnight or 8 hours. Crockpot Banana Bread 1/3 cup shortening 1/2 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 3/4 cups flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 cup mashed bananas 1/2 cup raisins Cream together shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well. Add dry ingredients alternately with mashed banana; stir in raisins. Grease a 4-cup can and pour batter in it. Cover top with paper towels (6 to 8) and place on rack in cooker. Cover and cook on high for 2 to 3 hours (or until bread is done). Crockpot Bread Pudding Serve hot or cold. Enjoy! 3 eggs, beaten 3 1/2 cups milk 2 teaspoons vanilla 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (2 tsp. if you prefer*) 1/2 teaspoon salt 3 cups bread cubes (or plain bread crumbs*) 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup raisins (one sliced banana to add with the raisins*) *Ness's Suggestions Mix all ingredients together until bread crumbs or cubes are thoroughly wet. Place mixture in a greased crockpot. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or until a knife stuck in middle of the "pudding" comes out clean. Curried Fruit Bake 1 package Prunes, (16 oz) pitted 1 package Dried apricots (11 oz) 2 cans Pineapple chunks (13 1/2 oz) drained 1 can Peaches; sliced (1 lb 13 oz) 1 cup Brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon Curry powder 14 ounces Ginger ale Combine all ingredients in removable liner. Place in base. Cover and cook on low 4-5 hours or auto 3 hours. Home-Style Bread Pudding Makes 4 to 6 servings. 2 Eggs, slightly beaten 2 1/4 cups Milk 1 teaspoon Vanilla 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon Salt 2 cups 1-inch bread cubes 1/2 cup Brown sugar 1/2 cup Raisins or chopped dates In medium mixing bowl, combine eggs with milk, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, bread, sugar, and raisins or dates. Pour into 1 1/2-quart baking or souffle dish. Place metal trivet (or aluminum foil shaped in a ring to keep the dish off the bottom of the pot) or rack in bottom of crockpot. Add 1/2 cup hot water. Set baking dish on trivet. Cover pot; cook on high for about 2 hours. Serve pudding warm or cool. Pumpkin Job 1 can (16 oz.) pumpkin 2 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice 2 tsp vanilla 1 can evaporated milk (this is probably the 14-15 oz. size) 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup Bisquick 2 Tbsp margarine 2 eggs Spray crockery with non-stick spray. Beat ingredients together until smooth with a hand mixer. Pour into crockery. Cook on Low 6-8 hours, High 3-4 hours. Spoon into cups and top with cool whip.
