Bishop Rolls
Danish Dessert Oregano-Sesame Pita chocolate muffin Banana Fritters Butter Sauce for steak ~~~~~~~~~ Subject: Request Bishop Rolls From: Vicki Liszewski > Bishop Rolls - I just returned from a vacation to West Virginia and Maryland and had some Bishop Rolls in a restaurant that were very tasty, but I can't find a recipe anywhere, does anyone have one? These were shaped with pointed tops (thus the reference to a Bishop I'd imagine), and tasted kind of "short" as in perhaps made with oil or maybe sourdough? Thanks! Vicki Liszewski DB/C Software Company 7 Salt Creek Lane, Suite LL-2 Hinsdale, IL 60521 630.655.2380 ~~~~~~~~~ From: "bcooper27" > Subject: Danish Dessert Hello.......my first post here and I'm looking for help in either locating this dessert (in the store) or a comparable recipe. My wife's family used to have "Danish Dessert", a raspberry gelatin dessert which was made by Oetker. They made it back in the 70's/80's(?) but according to Oetker's website they don't have the product anymore. My mother-in-law found a boxed "Danish Dessert" in the local Redner's supermarket, but we had it last night and she says it's not the same as Oetker's product as the one they used to have had more of a "tang" to it. Basically, the Danish Dessert is a raspberry gelatin with the consistency of jello and very 'tangy'. According to my mother-in-law, when mixed with a little light cream, it's the best stuff out there! ![]() Anyone have any info on this and whether there's a comparable product or recipe? Thanks!! Brian ~~~~~~~~~ From: (Joanna in Ohio) Subject: Request: Irish Soda Bread Recipe Date: 7 Oct 2003 16:24:50 -0700 Hi. I'm looking for an Irish Soda Bread recipe that uses powdered sugar in the bread dough, not in an icing for the bread. Thanks. ~~~~~~~~~ From: Subject: REQ: Oregano-Sesame Pita? I love the herbed pita bread at Fadi's in Houston ... they call 'em Oregano Pitas but they also have sime Sesame Seeds, have a background saltiness, and probably have olive oil on them. Any hints on how to make this (proportions, etc?) ... maybe some other herb combos to suggest? Thanks! ~~~~~~~~~ From: John > Subject: Banana Fritters Date: Mon, 06 Oct 2003 23:11:45 +0100 Hello. I just wondered if anyone can offer me recipes for making Banana Fritters? The kind you get from Chinese take-aways? It is just a desert made from Banana fried in Batter. Thanks for your help John ~~~~~~~~~ From: "Ron" > Subject: Butter Sauce for steak Looking for a good butter / garlic-butter sauce for steak. Wife always puts cold butter on her steak and I would like to have her try something better, keeping the butter flavor.
