Thanks ~~~~~~~~~ From: "Leslie Driver" > Subject: Kourabiedes (almond cakes) Date: Thu, 9 Oct 2003 18:58:16 -0500 does anyone know how to make Kourabiedes (almond cakes)? ~~~~~~~~~ From: "D.Currie" > Subject: Fruit Soup recipe Date: Thu, 9 Oct 2003 19:38:04 -0600 I'm looking for a recipe for a soup that was made from dried fruits. It was served warm with noodles, and the soup was a dark brownish/purplish color, it was a sweet/sour sort of flavor. I think at some point the fruit was processed through a food mill. The soup was a thick broth, but there weren't any lumps or chunks, except for the noodles. It wasn't a dessert soup, and it didn't have cinnamon. Any ideas? -- D.Currie ~~~~~~~~~ From: Lucky Dog > Subject: REQUEST: Tried and True Popeyes Fried Chicken Recipe Date: Thu, 09 Oct 2003 19:05:25 -0700 Hello: I would love to be able to make fried chicken like Popeyes that's light and super crispy. Does anyone know of a good recipe that's been tried and worked great? My problem is the batter always falls off the chicken during cooking. I cook my chicken in a wok with lots of oil. I'd appreciate any tips. Thank you! ~~~~~~~~~ From: (Horsdoeuvresale) Date: 09 Oct 2003 16:15:12 GMT Subject: Vegetarian finger sandwich type food I'm hosting a tea party and looking for finger sandwich type food that is for an all vegetarian group - can you help? ~~~~~~~~~ From: (James J) Subject: slow cooking pork or Beef Date: 9 Oct 2003 16:11:18 -0700 i'm finding stewing pork or beef hit and miss - sometimes it's fantastically tender, other times tough. I try to do everything right - use less lean cuts, really low heat etc. Any recipes for a foolproof method? ~~~~~~~~~ From: (cjw21) Subject: Mama's Meatballs: need recipe Date: 9 Oct 2003 23:48:17 -0700 A while back, the TV Guide had the recipe for Mama's Meatballs from the show "The Resturant" (Rocco's) I never got to see it. Does anyone have the recipe and could you share it? Thanks. cj ~~~~~~~~~ Rec.food.recipes is a moderated newsgroup; only recipes and requests for recipes are accepted for posting.
