Default Green Tomato Pie

Green Tomato Pie

4 cups green tomatoes, chopped
2 Tbsp cider vinegar
1-1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
Uncooked Pie pastry for one 9-inch double crust pie

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place diced green tomatoes in large bowl
and sprinkle with vinegar. In another bowl combine sugar, cinnamon,
nutmeg, cloves, salt and flour. Mix well. Sprinkle sugar mixture over
tomato/vinegar mixture and toss to coat evenly. Pour into 9-inch uncooked
pie crust and cover top with a criss-cross lattice pattern of pie crust.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 to 35 minutes, until filling is bubbly and
crust is golden brown.
