Linda Moreno's Butterscotch Crunch Cookies (Maine)
Ingredients: 2-1/2 cups flour 3/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup butter, softened 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar 2 large eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup chopped walnuts 1-1/3 cups butterscotch morsels 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels Procedu Preheat oven to 350°. Grease 2 baking sheets. Mix together flour, baking soda and salt. Beat together butter and brown sugar at medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Stir flour mixture into butter mixture. Fold in nuts, butterscotch morsels and chocolate. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place balls 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets. Flatten each ball slightly. Bake cookies until lightly brown, 10 to 15 minutes.
