Walnut Praline Cheesecake
Recipe By : Eagle Brand Advertisement Serving Size : 12 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Cheesecakes Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs 1/2 cup walnuts -- toasted, finely choppped 1/4 cup brown sugar -- firmly packed 1/4 cup butter or margarine -- melted 3 pkg cream cheese -- (8 oz) softened 1 can sweetened condensed milk -- (14 oz) 3 large eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla extract ----TOPPING---- 1/3 cup dark brown sugar -- firmly packed 1/3 cup whipping cream 1/2 cup walnuts -- chopped and toasted Preheat oven to 300 f. Combine crumbs, walnuts, sugar and margarine. Press into a 9" springform pan. In large mixer bowl, beat cheese until fluffy. Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk, then eggs and vanilla until smooth. Pour into pan. Bake for 55 minutes or until center is set. Cool. Top with Walnut Praline Topping. chill. Refrigerate leftovers. Walnut Praline Topping: In saucepan, combine 1/3 cup each fimrly packed dark brown sugar and whipping cream. Cook and stir until sugar dissolves. Simmer for 5 minutes or until thickened. Add 1/2 cup chopped toasted walnuts. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - |
