Taro cakes
Cha Khoai Mon ![]() Ingredients 300g taro root 1 white sweet potato 4 medium sized potatoes 1/2 cup coriander leaves, chopped 4 spring onions, chopped 1/3 cup fried shallots 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper Flour for dusting Method Bring water to the boil in the bottom of a steamer. Meanwhile peel the taro and potatoes and cut them into chunks. Place the vegetables on a steaming tray and cook until a knife easily passes through the flesh. Pass the cooked vegetables through a sieve or food mill and combine with the coriander spring onion ,fried shallots salt and pepper. Using damp fingers form the mixture into thick croquettes.
