Recipe Summary
Difficulty: Easy Prep Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 5 - 10 min Yield: About 3-4 persons Ingredients Urad dhal - 1 cup Toor dhal - ½ cup Small onions - 1 cup Green Chilli - 4-5 Ginger - a small piece Curry - leaves few Salt to taste Oil - 200 ml as required Chopped coconut ¼ cup Pepper - 1 tsp Jeera - 1 tsp Cashews - 10 Preparation 1. Soak the dhal seperately for one hour and grind the toor dhal coarsely and the urad dhal to a fine batter 2. Mix the grinded dhals together and add required salt 3. Finely chop the onions, green chillies, ginger and curry leaves 4. Mix all the ingredients to the batter. Heat a teaspoon of oil and saute pepper, jeera and cashews and add to the batter 5. Heat a pan with 200ml of oil. Pick the batter as small balls and deep fry in the oil till golden brown Server hot with coconut chutney |
