Asparagus & Ham Linguine Recipe By ![]() Serving Size :4 Cuisine : Main Ingred. : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------- -------------------------------- 1 pound linguine 1 pound asparagus --cut in 2" pieces 1 tablespoon butter 4 cloves garlic --minced 1 1/2 cups whipping cream 1/2 cup smoked ham --diced 2 tablespoon lemon juice lemon zest 1/4 cup fresh parmesan cheese --grated 2 tablespoon chives --finely chopped salt and pepper to taste 1. Cook linguine in a large pot of boiling water for 5 minutes. Add asparagus and continue to cook another few minutes until paste is al dente. Drain well. 2. Meanwhile, heat butter in a saucepan over mediumheat, add garlic and saute for 1 minute. 3. Add cream, lemon zest and ham; boil gently for about 8-10 minutes sitrring occasionally until slightly thickened. 4. Stir in lemon juice and parmesan cheese. 5. Toss sauce with pasta and asparagus. Stir in chives and season to taste with salt and pepper.
