Default Frozen Chocolate Bliss

Frozen Chocolate Bliss

1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 3/4 cups crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream (in rectangular block)
2/3 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
12-oz. can evaporated milk
1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Combine melted butter and crushed cookies. Press cookie mixture
into the bottom of at 13x9-inch dish. Cut ice cream into inch-thick
slices and place over cookie crust. Cover; freeze 1 to 2 hours or
until firm. Once the mixture is firm, combine remaining ingredients,
except nuts, in a medium sauce pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring
constantly, until mixture boils. Let boil for 8 minutes. Remove from
heat; let cool slightly. Remove ice cream/cookie crust mixture from
freezer, uncover and pour warm mixture over all. Sprinkle chopped
nuts over chocolate mixture, if using. Recover; freeze until firm.
