Steak Bake
1 1/2 lbs sirloin steak cut in narrow strips. 1/3 cup flour. 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper. Take above ingredients and cover with flour mixture, put into a small roasting pan or a 2 1/2 qt. casserole and leave all excess flour in pan. Put in oven and bake @ 400 F for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and add the next list of ingredients: 1 small onion chopped. 1 green pepper cut up in slivers. 1 19 oz can of tomatoes. 1 can mushrooms drained. 1 pkg. 10. oz frozen french green beans. Mix with steak and then pour over the whole mixture the following: 3 tbs molasses 3 tbs soya sauce. Return to oven and decrease the temperature to 350 F and bake for about another hour or longer. This dish is excellent for potlucks and taste even better as leftovers. The ingredients sound strange but believe me its a lovely dish. |
