Apple Cheese Spread: Use on bagels, toast or crackers.
1 pkg. (8-oz) cream cheese (at room temperature) 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese 2 Tablespoon lemon juice 1 Granny Smith Apple (cored and peeled) 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon dried thyme, basil or oregano (not all, just one) Combine softened cream cheese, Cheddar cheese and lemon juice. Grate apple directly into cheese mixture. Sprinkle with black pepper and dried herb. Cover bowl and chill at least one hour. Yield: 2-1/2 cups. |
