SCHMARRA (OMELET)
3 cups flour 2 tsp. salt 5 eggs 1 cup milk 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup shortening Mix all ingredients together. Slowly pour into a heated skillet, that has the hot shortening. Cook until brown on one side...cut in half...turn pieces to brown on underside. Cut up and stir while cooking...until well done. More shortening may be added. Serve with any flavor syrup. Hope you enjoy. Let me know if it works for you. You brought back fond memories of my youth. I'll make this recipe this Friday as it's Lent and no meat dishes again. |
