----------------IN A SMALL SAUCEPAN, BRING----------------

-following to a boil and

-then remove from heat

2 c Brown sugar

1 tb Butter

1 1/2 c Water

1/2 ts Ground cinnamon



------------------COMBINE IN MIXING BOWL------------------

1 c Sugar

2 1/2 c Flour

1/4 c Unsweetened applesauce

2 ts Baking powder

1 c Milk

1 tb Cinnamon



Grease a 13x9 inch cake pan and spread batter in pan.

Batter will be thick. Pat down with hands if

necessary. Pour brown sugar liquid over cake batter.

Bake at 350øF until knife inserted comes out clean.

Approximately 50 minutes. Serve warm or cooled with
