Goldwater Beans
1 Lb Pinto Beans 1 Med Onion, chopped 1 Lb Lean Ground Beef 1 Tbs Chili Powder 1 Pkg Taco Seasoning (your choice) 1 Can (6 oz) Tomato Sauce 1/2 tsp Oregano 1/2 tsp Cumin Seed 1 Can (6 oz) Tomatoes, chopped 1 Clove Garlic 1 Can (4 oz) Diced Green Peppers 1 Tbs Canola Oil Prepare beans by package directions. Will be tender when ready to make beans; do not drain. Sauté onion and brown ground beef; drain well and add to tender beans. Add chili powder, taco seasoning, tomato sauce, oregano, cumin seed, chopped tomatoes, garlic and diced green chiles to bean mixture. Simmer all under low heat for about 30 minutes. |
