Viennese Walnut Cookies
Ingredients: 1/2 c. butter 1/3 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 and 1/4 c. flour 1 and 1/3 c. finely chopped nuts Directions: Cream butter, sugar salt and vanilla. Blend in flour and nuts. Form dough into a ball and chill 30 minutes. Roll 1/4-inch thick and cut out into shapes desired. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake in 350-degree oven 10-12 minutes. Makes about 1 1/2 dozen cookies. (I have also rolled them into balls and pressed them on the cookie sheet.) When cookies are cooled, frost with Cream Cheese Frosting. Cream Cheese Frosting Mix together... 3 ounces cream cheese 1 T. milk 2 and 1/2 c. confectioner's sugar 3/4 tsp. vanilla Submitted by: Margo Mulholland |
