Cuban pork sandwich
Ingredients 1 tsp ground cumin 1 tsp dried oregano salt and pepper to taste 4 (1/4 inch thick) pork cutlets (about 12 oz) 1 medium onion, sliced Garlic-flavor nonstick seasoning spray 8 thin slices Swiss cheeses 8 thin slices Ham 4 Portuguese or Kaiser rolls, split 1/2 cup sliced dill pickles Directions Heat barbeque grill. Mix the cumin, oregano, salt and pepper; sprinkle over both sides of the pork cutlets. Coat cutlets and onions with seasoning spray. Grill 3 minutes, turning once, until cutlets are cooked through, and onions are slightly charred and crisp-tender. Fill each roll with 2 slices ham and cheese (each), cutlet, and 1/4 onions and pickles. Return to the grill for 1 - 2 minutes to melt cheese, if desired. Makes 4 sandwiches |
