Grand Marnier Rice Crispy Treats
Re-live your childhood and be a grown up at the same time! I drizzle melted bitter-sweet chocolate over these and serve them with a simple compote of cherries (when in season) macerated in sugar and a little Grand Marnier. Makes 16 servings Ingredients: 1/4 pound butter 10 ounces marshmallows 1 ounce Grand Marnier 1 teaspoon orange extract 1 pinch salt 6 cups rice crispies Preparation: In a big sauce pot over medium heat melt butter. Add marshmallows, Grand Marnier, orange extract and salt. Stir until melted. Stir in rice crispies then pour into a greased baking pan. Note: Dip them in chocolate and serve with macerated fresh fruit. |
