Berry & Almond Pizza
1 tablespoon slivered or sliced almonds 1 (6-inch) whole-wheat pita 3 tablespoons almond butter 1/3 cup fresh berries Spread almonds in an ungreased baking pan. Place them and pita in a preheated 350ºF oven and bake 10 minutes or until almonds are golden brown and fragrant; stir once or twice to ensure even browning. Note that almonds will continue to roast slightly after removing from oven. Spread pita with almond butter, and sprinkle with fresh berries and roasted almonds. Serves 2.
