Gretchen's Sugar Cookies
These are my family's favorite cookies that I bake on holidays. That's so my boyfriend's daughter can cut them out and help decorate them. My mom always made them for us when we were growing up as kids and she still does. Ingredients: 1 c. butter 2 c. sugar 5 eggs (beaten) 1 c. sour cream 1 tsp. soda 5 c. flour 1 tsp. vanilla Directions: Cream sugar and butter together. Mix soda into sour cream and add alternately with eggs to creamed mixture. Add vanilla, mix well. Beat in flour. Chill several hours or overnight. Roll out on floured surface, and cut with cookie cutters. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Frost and decorate after cooled. Submitted by: M. Saxton |
