Default Applesauce Cookies

Applesauce Cookies

I have used this recipe for some time. It is a simple recipe to
follow.

Ingredients:

1 c. BeeMaid Liquid Honey®
1/2 c. shortening, softened
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. applesauce
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts

Directions:

In a large bowl, cream honey and shortening. Add eggs and applesauce.
Sift
together flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon. Add to
honey
mixture, blending well. Stir in vanilla; fold in raisins and nuts.
Drop by
spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork dipped in cold
water.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
