Chocolate Waffles with Caramel Banana Topping
Servings: 12 servings. What you need: Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- Chocolate Waffles: 1 1/2 cups baking mix 1 cup sugar 1/3 cup baking cocoa 3/4 cup water 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 eggs Caramel Banana Topping: 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1/4 cup whipping (heavy) cream 1/4 cup light corn syrup 2 tablespoons margarine or butter 1 teaspoon vanilla 3 medium bananas, sliced Ready, set, cook! Chocolate Waffles: 1. Heat waffle iron; grease if necessary. Stir remaining ingredients until blended. 2. Pour batter by scant cupfuls onto center of hot waffle iron. 3. Bake until steaming slows. Carefully remove waffle. Caramel Banana Topping: Stir all ingredients except bananas in 1-quart saucepan until mixed. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally; remove from heat. Add bananas; stir gently until well coated. Per serving: 275 Calories, Vitamin A 4%, 9g Fat, Vitamin C 4%, 40mg Cholesterol, Calcium 4%, 260mg Sodium, Iron 6%, 48g Carbohydrate, 3g Protein ~~ MySpace URL: http://www.myspace.com/duckie067 |
