Default ICE CUBES as an important ingredient of all BEVERAGES

I would like to know expert opinions on how does ICE CUBES affect
beverages
like wines(specially vintage champagnes), whiskies, cognac, bourbon,
punch, cocktails, soft drinks, and even WATER.
I have heard a lot of opinions. Some say that melted water makes
beverages loose some of its taste and properties. Some people say it's
not so, that it even enhances it's properties.

How do you feel when you add an ICE CUBE to an expensive wine?
What do you think about this product: www.inoxcube.com, an ice cube
that does not melt..
Does anybody have heard about it? Does anybody know some good wine
coolers?
