Every time I hear my stylist friend say ANYTHING about animals, I think
HOWLINGLY laughing about the pig girl show I saw when she lived in London
and I visited her

Ah hell if you are gonna make money offa anything, these are the types of
people to make money offa ....

Volunteer your time for the puppies. And spend your extra pennies on em,
that way the iceboxes you work for are really paying for the puppies

WOW!!!

It is right and so people should take risks. Will persons try to be an
accounting type guy. Or are they changing professions as well

As I said above. Use the fanny floss money for good.
Jobs don't have to be meaningful. It's after 9-5 that has to be
meaningful. If 9-5 is meaningful as well, you are really lucky.

But what you do in your own spare time is what REALLY defines you.
9-5 is only survival.

Just went to Riverdance

With the mom of the lady of London. Her former clerk, a big redneck loud
mouth got arrested for coke. In a huge bust. They netted 82 people. I
guess coke has replaced the moonlight still trade.

So we go to a pre Riverdance dinner and we are sitting with the most
morbidly middle class white people you have ever seen. They say: Yeah
Franklin County is lovely. This is where we decided to retire. It is
nice and quiet a lot of retirees. But there are few natives left.

So me and the mom chime in almost instantaneously: Yeah COS THEY ALL GOT
ARRESTED.

We think this is the most knee slapping humor in the world.

But we get these cold stares.

And this goes on all night as we do this really great Franklin COunty
routine.

Dag. That mom is SO BAD!!!

lots of local color

The Roanoke theater restaurant (I forget the trade name_ was really good
that year. Even though the meals were usually a carving board roast beef
or something like this, and a simple soup, and a fairly traditional salad
bar, they distinguished themselves with endless boiled shrimp all you can
eat. These were always large and sweet and tender. The desserts were
also plentiful, creative, and even I liked them. Usually at least one
decent cheesecake and one decent cake such as black forrest.

This year, they are not as good. The shrimp is no longer buffet style and
the entree gets more and more prosaic. You get a typical cocktail serving
of shrimp. Still the best part of the meal for me. The fish is served
buffet style and is never anything but overcooked. The meat entree is
also usually quite weird. This last time, they made egyptian chicken.
The chicken tasted like pork. Also inedible. But the sauce was good.
Tons of onions and garlic with cumin and coriander, marinate the meat and
then cook. I ladled several spoonfuls of the stuff over corn, which
wasn't great but it was ok.
