Default Amish "Friendship Bread" recipe in SD

G'day all;

Some time back I came across a recipe that was purported to be a sourdough
version of the widely known Amish Friendship Bread. Of course, it wasn't.
It was more of a *******ization of starting a SD culture pressed onto a
bread recipe that apparently used to be made with commercial yeast.

Well, I think I've cleaned it up...but I can't be sure. I've never had a
piece of Amish Friendship Bread, so I can't say how mine compares with "the
real thing"...

My recipe is he
http://www.innerlodge.com/Recipes/Br...ough/Amish.htm. I'd like to
get some feedback from those that have experience in making this bread. Did
I hit it? Get close? Or am I so far off the mark that I should scrap it
and take up needlepoint...(:-o)!

TIA,
Dusty -- back in Everett...for the moment...
