Sushi (alt.food.sushi) For talking sushi. (Sashimi, wasabi, miso soup, and other elements of the sushi experience are valid topics.) Sushi is a broad topic; discussions range from preparation to methods of eating to favorite kinds to good restaurants.

Default Good sushi in Sacramento?

I have always (well.....usually) gotten good advice from the members
of this group when I travel. I'll be going soon to Sacramento, CA for
a week with a possible day trip to San Francisco.

What are the "don't miss" places for sushi, and what are the "don't
go" places as well.

As always, your help is greatly appreciated.

Nishiki Sushi, around 15th and I, if memory serves. Samurai Sushi at 12251
Folsom (Highway 50 at Hazel Exit) in Rancho Cordova is also quite good.

The new Mikuni Sushi at 1530 "J" Street is the best sushi in Sacramento.
Still not top of the line by San Francisco standards, but definitely
acceptable and fresh. It is huge with three (!) sushi bars. We also tried
Nishiki, but I was not impressed and the place smelled too fishy for my
taste.
