Default Infusing Green Tea

I use about one teaspoon of green tea leaves for every cup of tea I make and
infuse for 3 minutes with water at a temperature lower then boiling.

Someone told me that with green tea, you can infuse the same leaves multiple
times over a short period of time without issue. I've tried it and didn't
see a problem. Do others do this as well?

Right. It also works the next day if you refrigerate the tea dregs
overnight. By the third cup, put the water up to boiling and steep
longer. In my experience- mainly with sencha- the cup gets sweeter and
more flowery on the second or third steep. I seldom try more than
three steepings. Toci

I have never done it but I don't see why you can't. I actually only use about half a teaspoon of green tea per cup as I find that it is strong enough even with this small quantity.

If the tea leaves are good quality, you should be able to get more
than 3 cups out of it.
