I volunteer some time with a Celtic festival in the Washington DC area, and
they are right now considering the possibility of having a tea garden with people serving British-style teas. The thing is, they don't have anyone to actually sponsor it and do the work. We'd love to have a volunteer who likes and cares about tea to come in and serve tea, and if that happened I'd probably be willing to donate a pound or so of undistinguished but entirely drinkable assam. Barring that, a tea shop that would be willing to do this in exchange for a sponsorship and getting their name in the brochure would be quite welcome. We are, though, looking for an emphasis on traditional English black teas, although it's true that there were a lot of Chinese greens imported to the west a couple hundred years ago too. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra.
