If you substitute calorie free tea for sugar laden softdrinks you'll
see weight loss. I've been drinking tea most of my life and could shed 40lb. Since caffeine is an appetite stimulant and less in tea then smaller portions. I think tea can suppress food cravings from anecdotal experience. I think there is some tea diet book. I think the biggest health benefit is the antioxidents. I drink tea for the pleasure and if it keeps me alive another day for another cuppa then that is a value added benefit. I discovered this summer green tea is a great thirst quencher. It immediately gets rid of that sweet sweaty aftertaste from hard work which water can't do. It felt like drinking Gatorade which I didn't have and happened to have a pitcher of cold green tea.
