Default Steintahl (sp?) Darjeeling

Tea gurus,

Just last week I experienced this wonderful tea with a German name for
the Darjeeling estate. Just checking here if the price of $44.50 CND
for 100grams was right. If so, it's the most expensive Darjeeling I've
ever tasted. The small pot went for 6 bucks. Anywhere else to get this
tea cheaper?

Thanks.

The correct spelling is "Steinthal". Googling this will provide several
suppliers, one of which was offering 100gm for 7.8 euros.

Seems that this tea plantation has been founded by a German 120 Years ago
(www.teegschwendner.de). First Flush Steinthal is sold at EUR 7.10 per
100g (less than $10).

Don't think so. The only chance is doing mail order, would still be
cheaper than the $42 you are paying.

Maybe I was wrong: even Starbucks seem to have some stock of the Steinthal
Darjeelings, see www.teaandcoffee.net/0203/tea.htm

That's what I meant .. Anyone know of any mail-order company selling
Steinthal tea?

Starbucks doesn't do mail orders ..
