For those of you who were uncertain or confused about the first post -
see photos.... Costco purchase of Bigelow Tea assortment 1 Large box/container with 8 boxes of tea Each of 8 boxes contained 20 bags in 5 pouches of 4. See photos Weight for each box of 20 bags ranged from 25g to 42g Weight for each bag's contents ranged from 1.25g to 2.1g 28.35g = 1 oz One example - I doubt that the peppermint tea would measure the advertised 1.25g per bag... very small amount, very weak tea. From a marketing perspective, it would make sense to make larger bags, even if tea is so expensive(?) that they would have to cut the count to 10. Then the tea would be reasonably tasty, not wimpy. Maybe they want customers to put a whole pouch of 4 bags in for two cups. I'd go with bulk tea instead. Is this another sign that the American culture is going for quantity vs quality? Or companies losing touch with customers? What did Commodore Vanderbuilt say...? |
