I've been comparing my cheap Chinatown black beengcha and my expensive
local tea shoppe beengcha. The Chinatown version is hard and you need implements to break. The shoppe version you can actually break off between thumb and forefinger. The Chinatown version has a harsh fish aroma which is also present in the taste. The shoppe version has the same aroma but is milder and sweeter and doesn't come through in the taste. The shoppe version is the first tea I've ever tasted where the aroma doesn't need a taste. I'm reading the horror stories so which one of these (if either) is the 'wet storage' puerh that is dangerous to human health because the beasties aren't scientifically controlled because of short cut methods.
