Default Damn, that's good!

3 slightly rounded tsps. of Lung Ching + a little bit more for the heck of
it
24 oz distilled water
170F for 2-3/4 min.

Proved to be too strong so, after about 1/2 mug, I added a half mug of a 12
oz (I think) mug of more distilled water at room temperature, tossed in the
rest from the mug (8 oz) from which I was sipping, stirred, and repoured.

Damn, it's good!

With all the "for the heck of it" and "tossing" that I was doing, I wonder
if I'll be able to duplicate it again?!

<sigh> Unexpected pleasures...

Very well done, thats about my style of tea preperation, rarely
measured with a spoon. I estimate what I think I need, then add more.
Aint it great? Part of the fun for me is getting drastically different
results from the same tea leaves the next day. Then slowly honing in
on what parameters work best for a batch of tea, by the time I get it
figured out, I am out of that type of tea and have to start over on a
new kind I've never had before, and on it goes. :-)

No, not to me, it isn't.

I like consistently good tasting stuff. Drastically different results from
the same tea puts me out.

This is definitely a situation of YMMV because I do my experimenting up
front and when I get that "Ahhh!" I use the same measurement, temp, and time
until the tea's gone.

If I'm not able to figure out how to get the same great taste that I did
yesterday, reliably repeatable results, I'm gonna be thoroughly ****ed-off
at myself.

I'm hoping it was just the water, but I don't see how it could have been.
