Presumably meaning that it's farmed (stuff from the sea is arguably renewable as well), and farmed fish is often environmentally worse than caught fish, especially [non-long] line caught stuff. Anyway, I don't really have much against their fish 'food', at least not as much as against the typical cod'n'chips which is so destined as a museum piece. Going back to BBC & McLibel, there was one good prog I heard about it [WS] though much of the "sound-bited" versions painted them as losing against McD's without saying many of the points went the defendant's way as "fair comment". -- Ken Tough |

There's a lot of guff being written about farmed fish and mutations etc, particularly in "Private Eye". We had a leg of salmon last week that was delicious. -- James Follett. Novelist. And don't think you'll get away with pathetic excuses about only evening up the unbalanced ones so they don't go round in circles. |

Though the Canadian cod > fishery is still dead after getting on for 10 years of no fishing. They left it too long obviously. The fishing thing here is a classic bit of greed: they've been told that if they keep on they'll make their livlihoods extinct but they ain't interested. So bye bye cod and bye bye the ****s who catch 'em. ROBBIE |
