Is it me?
I mean, "Why do these beautiful eggplants emerge from my grill with the most gawdawfull strings of dark seeds?" I can't believe that they can be easily removed while leaving any decent amount of flesh. I am obviously conflicted here. Can anyone set me straight on this or recommend a vegetarian psychologist? I just leave them in. They're not hard or unpleasant. Once you've mashed or pureed the aubergine with the other ingredients, you probably won't notice them at all. Kake |

Eggplants come in two types, some label them male and female, one difference being the number of seeds. The ones with the least seeds are longer, cylindrical, and have a conical blossom end. The rounder, tear-drop shaped ones have more seeds. |
