TN: couple less expensive Bdx

With some Aidell's sausage, grilled squash, fresh sliced garden tomato,
and storebought stuffing, I went back to my Bordeaux roots (though
maybe not the best choice for sausage, it went ok). A couple of less
expensive ones, from 375:

2001 Ch. Carignan (Premières Côtes de Bordeaux).
Pleasant luncheon-weight claret, balanced acidity and light tannins,
dark fruit overlaid with earth and leather. Very good value. B

1999 Ch. Gloria (St. Julien)- rather fat and low-acid, I think this is
pretty thin at first, and tannins stick out a little . But the fruit
fills out and makes this into a nice medium-bodied Bdx as the tannins
soften with the air. Nice cassis and dark berry fruit, plump with a
smooth texture, light cedar and vanilla notes, decent finish. B/B+

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent
wine, B a good wine, C mediocre. Anything below C means I wouldn't
drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no
promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
